About SCAPF
Students of Color and Allies Policy Forum (SCAPF) was started in 2013 by University of Southern California (USC) graduate students at the Sol Price School of Public Policy and the Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work to create an opportunity for students of color (and allies) to educate and strategize on race and intersectionality issues in policy, planning, development, and social work.

SCAPF is a joint effort of undergraduate and graduate student leaders who seek to improve policy work for marginalized individuals and communities. The student-organized policy forum is dedicated to generating critical discussions on issues of race and social justice.

Each year, the committee selects a theme, identifies speakers, and plans a spring conference for all USC students, faculty and staff, policy advocates, and community partners to come together to discuss these issues. The policy forum hopes to create a safe space for everyone.
